High Hand Management

The High Hand feature allows you to run high hand promotions, display current qualifying hands, and track winners across your gaming floor.

What It Does
The High Hand system tracks and displays the highest poker hand during a designated time period, encouraging player engagement and increasing floor action. It includes:
Interactive displays for players to view current high hands
Configuration tools for floor managers to set qualifying hands
Winner tracking and reporting
Who It's For
Floor managers, shift supervisors, and promotional staff overseeing poker games and table game promotions.
High Hand Workflow
The correct sequence for running a high hand promotion is:

1. Starting a Session
From the main dashboard, click the arrow next to the display shortcuts menu
Select High Hand Display
Click the Gear Icon to access setup options
Configure the following:
Qualifying Hand (Text): Enter a text description (e.g., "Aces Full of Kings")
Qualifying Hand (Visual): Use the card selector to build a visual representation
Prize Amount: Enter the dollar value of the prize
End Time: Set when the current high hand period ends
Click Submit to save your configuration and start the session

Tips:
Set qualifying hands that match your room's game types and volume
Consider scheduling different qualifying hands for different periods (morning vs. evening)
Adjust prize amounts based on business levels
2. Launching the Display
After setting up your promotion:
Click the Open Icon in the display menu
Verify the display shows:
Current qualifying hand
Prize amount
Time remaining in session
"No Current High Hand Available" if no hand has been recorded yet
3. Recording High Hands During the Session

Throughout the session, when a player achieves a hand that beats the current high hand:
Click the Cards Icon in the display menu
Select Add New High Hand
Enter the qualifying hand information:
Hand Text: Description of the hand
Visual Representation: Select cards using the card picker
Table Name: Select from dropdown
Seat #: Select from dropdown
Click Submit to update the display
The display will update to show the new high hand, the table and seat where it occurred, and the remaining time in the session. Continue to record better hands as they occur throughout the session.

4. Selecting the Winner After Session End

Important: After the session ends, you'll need to record the winner by finding the player who had the highest qualifying hand.
To record a winner:
Click the Trophy Icon in the display menu
Use the session navigation arrows to select the completed session if needed
Search for the player in the search box
Verify this is the player who had the highest hand during the session
Check Show winner on Display to announce the winner
Click Record Winner to finalize
The system will associate this player with the highest hand recorded during the session, and this information will be logged to the High Hand Winner Log report with full session details.
Note: Winners can be added or amended within 24 hours of the session's conclusion.

5. Viewing Winner Reports

To review past high hand winners:
Navigate to Reports in the main menu
Select Promotion Reports
Choose High Hand Winner Log
Set your date range using the date/time selectors
View the comprehensive list of winners
Report Features:
Player name and ID
Date and time of winning hand
Prize amount awarded
Table and seat location
Visual representation of the winning hand
Ability to filter by date range
This report is essential for:
Verifying promotion payouts for accounting
Tracking promotion frequency by table or player
Identifying patterns to optimize future promotions
Maintaining compliance records

Display Features

The High Hand Display shows:
Current qualifying hand (or minimum qualifying hand if no one has qualified)
Prize amount for the current session
Time remaining in the current session
Table and seat of the current high hand holder
Scrolling message showing the previous session's winner (when configured)

Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Display not updating?
Refresh the display page
Verify network connectivity
Check if the session time has expired
Need to correct a winner after recording?
Winners can be amended within 24 hours
Use the Trophy Icon and search for the correct player
Multiple qualifying hands with same value?
The first recorded hand takes precedence
If you need to override, use the Cards Icon to update with the new information
