Promotions Events

What It Does

The Promotion Events dashboard is your central control center for managing all promotions across your operation. This is where you create, monitor, and administer both points/time-based promotions and jackpots.

Marketing managers, floor supervisors, and promotion administrators who need to track and manage player incentives.

Navigating the Dashboard

Accessing Promotion Events

1. From the main CardOpz menu, click on Promotions

2. Select "Promotion Events" to access the dashboard

Dashboard Organization

The dashboard displays all promotions in a list format with key information at a glance:

• Promotion name

• Type (Points-Based or Jackpot)

• Total number of redemptions

• Status

• Start and end dates

• Last updated timestamp

Filtering Options

Quickly find promotions with these filters:

Filter by Status:

• Draft: Promotions in setup phase

• Pending Approval: Jackpots awaiting authorization

• Rejected: Promotions that weren't approved

• Not Started: Approved but not yet active

• Going: Currently active promotions

• Complete: Ended promotions

Filter by Type:

• Points-based: Time or points qualification promotions

• Jackpot: Progressive prize pool promotions

Date Filtering:

• Use the "From" and "To" date selectors to view promotions within a specific timeframe

• Click "Refresh" to update the view

Creating New Promotions

To add a new promotion:

1. Click the Add button in the top-right corner

2. Select the promotion type:

   • Points/Time-Based Promotion

   • Jackpot Promotion

3. Complete the required fields in the creation form

4. Submit or save as draft

Managing Existing Promotions

For each promotion on the dashboard, you can:

Quick options for points based events:

Approvals – Clone – Details – Image – Delete

Quick options for jackpot based events:

Approvals – Clone – Setup – Image – Delete

View Details:

• Click on the view details icon to see complete promotion information

• For Points/Time-Based promotions, this also allows editing even while the promotion is active

Edit:

• Points/Time-Based promotions can be edited directly, even when in "Going" status

• Jackpot promotions cannot be edited once approved - they must be cloned instead

Duplicate:

• Use the copy icon to clone an existing promotion

• Especially useful for Jackpot promotions since they can't be edited after approval

• Creates an identical copy that you can modify as needed

Delete:

• Remove promotions that haven't started

• Note: Active or completed promotions cannot be deleted

Promotion Statuses Explained

Draft:

• Initial creation state

• Configuration is incomplete or not yet submitted

• Not visible to players

Pending Approval (Jackpots only):

• Submitted but awaiting management approval

• Cannot be redeemed until approved

Rejected (Jackpots only):

• Not approved by management

• Can be edited and resubmitted

Not Started:

• Approved but start date is in the future

• Will automatically activate on start date

Going:

• Currently active

• Available for player qualification/redemption

• Cannot make major modifications

Complete:

• End date has passed

• No longer available to players

• Remains in system for reporting purposes

Best Practices

• Regular Review: Check dashboard daily for promotions starting/ending

• Cleanup: Archive or remove old draft promotions

• Planning: Create promotions well in advance of start date

• Testing: Use draft status to fully configure before submitting

• Documentation: Use the description field to document all rules and conditions
