Clock Display

What It Does

The Tournament Clock Display is the player-facing visual interface that shows critical tournament information in real-time. This display shows current blinds, time remaining, prize information, player counts, and important announcements to keep players informed throughout the event.

Who It's For

Players participating in tournaments need this information to track progress and make strategic decisions. Floor staff use these displays to communicate efficiently with large groups of players simultaneously.

Accessing the Clock Display

  1. From the Tournament Events dashboard, locate your tournament

  2. Select "Clock"

  3. The display launches in a new window, ready to be shown on monitors throughout your venue

  • Theming: Apply custom backgrounds or color schemes

Best Practices

Display Placement

  • Position displays for maximum visibility from all playing areas

  • Ensure text is large enough to be read from the furthest tables

  • Consider multiple displays for larger tournament areas

  • Angle screens to minimize glare and maximize readability

Information Management

  • Update key statistics regularly by busting players in the system as close to real time as you can

  • Use custom messages to display breaking order or dealer rotation

  • Display payouts once registration closes and prize pool is finalized

Player Experience

  • Ensure display volume settings are turned up so players can hear the built in audio cues from the clock

    • 10 second countdown to end of level, and when break is ending

  • Use clear, concise language for all communications

Technical Considerations

  • Test displays before tournaments begin

  • Have backup display options in case of technical issues

  • Ensure network connectivity for real-time updates

  • Consider automatic brightness adjustment based on room lighting
