ALL SYSTEMS OPERATIONAL — CardOpz DEV and PROD environments are live and running smoothly.

Merging Duplicates

The Merging Duplicates interface provides tools for identifying and resolving duplicate player accounts in your database. This functionality helps maintain data integrity by allowing staff to combine multiple profiles for the same player into a single comprehensive record.

What It Does

The Merging Duplicates tab automatically identifies potential duplicate accounts based on matching name and date of birth information. It then presents these matches to authorized staff, who can review the accounts, compare the information, and selectively merge the records to create a single master profile.

Who It's For

Database administrators, compliance officers, and player development managers who need to maintain clean player records while preserving important historical data and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Accessing Merging Duplicates

  1. From the main CardOpz menu, click on the Users icon (gold person icon)

  2. Click the "Merging Duplicates" tab in the top navigation bar

  3. The system will display potential duplicate matches found in your database

Common Questions

What happens to the history from merged accounts?

All history of the master account selected, including visit records and play data, is preserved and associated after merging.

Can I unmake a merge if I discover it was incorrect?

Once accounts are merged, the process cannot be reversed automatically. Contact your CardOpz system administrator if you believe accounts were merged incorrectly.

How does the system identify potential duplicates?

The system uses matching algorithms based primarily on name, date of birth (DOB), and ID#

What if the same person has significant differences in their profiles?

Use your best judgment to select the most accurate information. If necessary, contact the player to verify details before completing the merge.
